MANCHESTER UNITED' ASHLEY YOUNG; PLAYING IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS A DREAM COME TRUE


Manchester united winger Ashley Young has expressed his excitement  ahead of the side's champions league fixture with Basel on Tuesday, claiming that to play in the champions is a dream for any young-star.
Young came to old trafford at somewhat of a discount price after running Aston Villa contract down to the last year, and instead that he could not risk passing up the opportunity of a move to united and the chance to play champions league football.
"I'm very excited by it. Coming to club like Manchester united and playing in these big competitions is any boy's  dream
" I'm looking foward to being be able to say I have played in the Champions league.

FERNANDO TORRES; I'M SCORING FOR THE CHELSEA FANS



Fernando Torres has thanked the Chelsea fans for their support during his difficult start at the club and has insisted that he is finding back of the net for them.
The spanish striker is only just starting to show glimpses of the form which compelled Roman Abramovich to splash out £50 m for his service after netting twice in his last two games.
"but the first six monthes for me at Chelsea have been very, very difficult and I hve been struggling, and I have always had the support of the fans.
"From the first day till now, every time I talk with them on the street, the cafe, everywhere, I can feel the support they are giving so it is nice to start scoring for them.  

MOURINHO; MADRID CHARACTER SHINES THROUGH



Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho praised his teams's character following their 6-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano in La liga on saturday 
Morinho side fell behind in the first minute and also had winger Angel di Maria sent off in the second half, but Cristiano  Ronaldo hat-trick helped them to three points at the Santiago Bernabeu

Ferguson: Rooney Reaches New Heights





Sir Alex Ferguson feels wayne Rooney is arleady to become a real leader at Manchester united. Rooney superb form has shot him into an early lead in the battle to claim this season's Golden Boot prize.
The 25 years old also scored twice on England duty early this month, further evidence is now completely out of the form dip that lasted nearly 12 months, including a miserable world cup
"He is playing with energy that has taken him to new heights" Furguson said
"Energy burns in him.but there is also a maturity to his football now that is of tremendeous benefit to the team.    



EVRA WANTS TO SEE MORE FROM UNITED



Manchester united defender Patrice Evra believes he and his team mates have more to give, despite recording another impresive victory agaist Chelsea on sunday
"may be for the first time  we didn't control all the game, Evra told MUTV
"Five wins is a good start  but I always want more. I'am happy to win but I hope in the next league game, against stoke we create more chances and not try to rush things
"I have alot of respect for Chelsea, people talk about city and us but I always say CHelsea are our most opponent as you can see.

BARCELONA GERARD PIQUE RESUMES TRAINING AFTER HARMSHING INJURY



Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is closing in on a first team return after resuming training on monday, according to sport. The spain international has burn out of action since sustaining a harmshing injury in training last month.
The spanish champion has scored four goals in their last three game inm all competitions and Pique's recovery will certainly please coach Pep Gurdiola
However Gurdiola has reportedly not risk Pique in wednesday's clash at Valencia, which means that the former Manchester united man is expected to return to action on saturday against Atletico Madrid.

FERNANDO "Will score goals" ACCORDING TO CHELSEA GOAL KEEPER



Chelsea goal keeper petr cech is in no doubt the £50 million striker Fernando Torres is getting back to his best, despite seeing his promising performace against Manchester united being overshadowed by his jaw-dropping secomnd half-miss
Cech told the PA "This is one thing in football that happens and what he can remember that he played realy well and scored a great goal
" I can see the guy is improving. At Stoke he had a brilliant match and he was unlucky not to score.
The last match, he created both goals against Bayer Liverkusen and against united he created a huge chance for Ramiles in the first half.He also scored a great goal and then get himself another opportunity and, unfortunitely, I dont know what a happened, but I am not worried about it, he will score goals

ANDRE VILLA BOAS


 Chelsea showed we are title contenders despite losing to manchester united.
Chelsea manager Andre Villa Boas believes his side proved they will complete for the premier league title this season despite losing 3-1 to Manchester united on sunday.
"I think we showed we are up to the level of champions" said Villa Boas
"We will be up there competing for the title and I'am glad sir Alex Furguson corroborates this oppinion
"Manchester united are in good position now but its very early. Nothing that happen now will not decide the table at the end.
Five contenders are there and anything can happen.

DAVID LUIZ LIFTS BLUES: Chelsea 2-0 Liverkusen.

It was exactly what Chelsea needed as the blues as the blues had been dissapointing until Luiz stuck in the 67th minute.The Brazilian central defender was making his first appearance of the season and his superb run setup the chance as he came surging forward and slipped a pass to Ashley Cole,the leftback played the ball into Farnando Torres who prodded it back into the path of Luiz and his first time shot was caressed low into the the far corner. Torres was also the provider for the chelsea second goal in injury time, the spanish drove foward and from the left side unselfshly squared the ball to Juan Mata to slide home into an empty net

BARCELONA'S ANDRES INIESTA FACES FOUR WEEKS OUT WITH TORN HAMSHING

Barcelona playmaker Andres Iniesta will be out for the next four weeks after suffering a tear to his hamshing in the champion league opener against AC Millan. The spain international was forced off just five minutes before the break being replced by compatriot Cesc Fabrigas as Barcelona were held to a 2-2 draw at camp now. Iniesta is set to miss Barcelona's next five matches including La liga clashes against Valencia and Atletico Madrid and the champion league at BATE.

SIR ALEX FERGUSON COMPARES MANCHESTER UNITED STRIKER WAYNE ROONEY TO PELE.

Manchester united Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has compared striker Wayne Rooney to Brazilian legend Pele in the build-up to the club's opening champions league match. The Red devels face Portuguese side Benfica in their european opener, and their manager has said that his star can be compared to the world's gretest ever player, even though he is still relatively early in his carreer. Sir Alex told the daily Mirror: " If you look at Pele, for instance he was very agressive attacker also who could look after himself - so can Rooney. " They have similarities that way in terms of strength, speed, determination"

MANCIN HAILS SILVA.

Manchester city manager Roberto Mancin has hailed David Silva as one of the best player in the world. Mancin said "Silva is a top, top player. I dont know why he didnt go to Barca or Real Madrid because he is spanish but we are lucky because he is here. "If he had gone to Barca two years ago everyone would say he's one of the best players in the world-and he is one of the best players in the world" "He is different from Messi and Christiano Ronaldo because they are strikers and score alot of goals but i think he is the same as Xavi and Iniesta"

CHELSEA TO QUIZ TORRES

Chelsea manager Andry Villa Boas says the club will conduct "in-depth" investigation into comments made by striker Fernando Torres during an interview with spanish website. Torres 27, spoke to the website of spain's premera liga last week, with translation appearing on his personal website which quoted him as saying chelsea older players were "very slow". The striker has insted he was misquoted in English translation.

JOSE MORINHO ALLOWS ZIDANE SON ENZO TO TRAIN WITH REAL MADRID
The clu official website said Zidane junior who plays for one of the Madrid youthteams, trained alongside Christiano Ronaldo, Mesuit Ozil and Ricaldo Kaka as he impressed onlookers. His father as former France international and now Real Madrid director of sport, was standing alongside Morinho as they watched the action unfold at the Valdebebas training centre. MANCITY SWEATING ON NASRI INJURY



Manchester city are waiting to discover the extent of an injury sustained by Samir Nasri whilst on international duty with France
Gettyimage Samir Nasri came on as a 75th minute substitute for France against Romania
However he emerged suggesting Nasri has broken a bone in his hand.The play maker is expected to report back at city on wednesday afternoon when the club, who host Wigan this weekend will evaluate the injury
Nasri joined city from Arsenal for a fee of £ 24m, and he impressed on his debut for the club as Roberto Mancin's men trumphed 5-1 at tottenham, the frenchman laying on three assist

Manchester city's Edin Dzeko has scored six goals in three premier league games, despite netting just twice last season
Manchester united manager also took manager of the mounth after winning all three matches.
Dzeko 25 joined manchester city from Wolfsburgfor £27 m in january and only scored two league goals before this season.
Also it is the 26th time Alex Ferguson has worn the manager of month award since its inception at in 1993.He has also been manager of the season 10 times.

Arsenal representatives are to make last minute offer for Ivory coast striker Solomon Kalou.However Kalou has fallen out of favour at stanford bridge since the arrival of Romelo Lukaku and has been told that he will be way behind Fernando Torres,Didier Drogba,Nicolas Anelka and Daniel Sturridge in battlaling for starting spots in chelsea first team this year.Wenger has been an admirer for Kalou for a longtime and it is a chance for him if he would be able to pay £ 10m for him
